Long live Bangladesh
Our History is Our Pride
Bangladesh has a proud and glorious history. Our independence was not easily achieved — it came at the cost of immense bloodshed, countless sacrifices, and the loss of many lives. During the era of Pakistani rule, the rights, language, and culture of the Bengali people were repeatedly suppressed. From the Language Movement of 1952 to the Six-Point Movement in 1966 and the mass uprising of 1969, each struggle brought us closer to freedom.
Finally, in 1971, after a nine-month-long bloody Liberation War, we earned our independence. The lives of three million martyrs, the sacrifices of countless people, and the courage of the freedom fighters gave birth to sovereign Bangladesh.
This history is our pride and inspiration. It teaches us to stand for justice, resist oppression, and love our country deeply.
